Our Philosophy
Broadway in LA Workshop offers dynamic musical theatre training for students ages 8–18, led by two working Broadway professionals with over twenty years of experience in the industry. Our workshops are designed to inspire, challenge, and empower young performers at every level—from beginners discovering their love of theatre to advanced students preparing for auditions and conservatory programs.Through high-energy group classes, individualized coaching, and professional-level guidance, students build confidence, technique, and storytelling skills in singing, acting, and movement. Whether your child dreams of Broadway or just wants to have fun and grow as a performer, Broadway in LA Workshop is a place where passion meets possibility.
Co-Founders & Teachers

Mary Faber
is an award-winning actor, singer, and puppeteer in LA. Mary's career reflects her range of talent, from being the lead in Boss Baby: Back in the Crib on Netflix to being on Broadway, starring in shows like Avenue Q, American Idiot, and How to Succeed in Business with Daniel Radcliffe and John Larroquette. TV roles include Ashley on HBO’s The Brink, Macy in Jim Carrey’s Kidding on Showtime, and as fan favorite Sweetums lobbyist Kathryn Pinewood on Parks and Recreation.
In addition to Puppet Boot Camp in prep for Avenue Q, Mary trained at the VA Governor’s School for the Arts, Interlochen Center for the Arts, and Brandeis University. She studied improv and sketch at Upright Citizens Brigade and Second City: New York, and early on in her career, did murder mysteries at bar mitzvahs, cafetoriums, and corporate team-building events all over the US of A.
She lives with her incredible husband, two children, and some puppets that hopefully don't come alive at night.

Eric Petersen
an Emmy-nominated actor known for his versatile performances in television, Broadway, and voice acting. His notable role as Kevin in AMC's "Kevin Can F*** Himself" showcased his talent in a dark comedy that challenged sitcom norms. Petersen also stood out in Apple TV's "High Desert," and made his television series regular debut in TVLand's "Kirstie," acting alongside comedy legends. His career includes appearances in "The Big Bang Theory," "Modern Family," "Chicago Fire," and "NCIS” among many others. Recently he voiced Ant'ney the pigeon in Dreamworks’ "Madagascar: A Little Wild," earning an Emmy nomination for his performance.
Petersen's Broadway career began with leading roles in “Shrek: The Musical” (Shrek), "School of Rock"(Dewey) and continued with performances in "Escape To Margaritaville" (Brick OBC) and "Peter and the Starcatcher” (Ted). A proud Bradley University graduate.
Residing with his family in Los Angeles and New York, Petersen is a working actor, director, teacher and coach, sharing insights into his professional career and helping the next generation of actors.
